Point Reyes
Limantour Beach
Point Reyes Bird Observatory

We are on a five day trailer trip staying at Olema RV Park. The RV Park is waiting on permit approval in order to improve and update the park. However, an endangered frog and trout were found slowing the process.

We took the dogs on a walk to Limantour Beach - one of the very few spots that dogs are allowed in Point Reyes. There is a small hike to the beach, but we had it virtually to ourselves. Lots of birds, wetlands and vegetation. It was sunny inland, but a high fog lingered in this area. There was no wind which made the 50 degree temperature very comfortable.

We took a ride out to Bolinas and ventured up Mesa Road. The Point Reyes Bird Observatory is 4 miles down the road and has a vistor's center and nature trail.

The trail was a nice surprise. Very beautiful and worth the visit.

Didn't really see any birds, but heard them. We even had our binoculars with us. We aren't very good "birders".
